I’ve set out on a new adventure

As I write this, I’ve been working remotely for the digital communications team for a little over a month now and will formally leave at the end of July.

The reason being that my wife needed to move to Philadelphia for the next year to do research in the archives there—and I quite like her, so I’ve gone with her. While we’re excited about this time to be in Philadelphia, we’re sad to be leaving such an amazing community in St Andrews.

We have loved living in St Andrews and being a part of the community, with her studying and me getting a chance to help develop the website, it has been great. It’s made the decision to go overseas difficult; I will miss the team.

Getting to work using DSDM agile project management was one of the things I value most from my time as part of the team. I also enjoyed the opportunity to develop and help mature the digital pattern library, and so contribute directly to how the new University website will look and function.

The team has been amazing, I couldn’t have imagined a better team to be a part of, and it will be the standard against which I will measure my future teams involvement. I felt like I contributed and was valued for the work I brought to the University. I’m grateful to have spent the last two years with them.

Thank you.
