I have just begun working with the Digital Communications team (on Monday 16 January 2023) as the new Senior Web Content Editor. It is an exciting time to be part of the team.

There are many projects to be involved in and other new team members are starting at the same time with me. My role will help to improve the user experience of the website by developing the content and structure.

I’ve worked at the University of St Andrews for just over 10 years, with previous roles in the University Library. Most recently I was the User Experience and Communications Manager for Libraries and Museums. Throughout my work in libraries, I have focused on how to reach and engage different audiences and to understand their needs and wants. Writing and analysing information has interested me since my university days, when I studied literature and completed a PhD at the University of Stirling. I am looking forward to working together with people across the University to make changes and improvements to web content.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dog, Ethel. We explore the beaches and beautiful countryside walks around Fife.

I also love to travel and hope to visit Finland and Iceland in the future.

If you have any questions about my role, or if you’d like to get in touch, please do email me at [email protected].
