New web developer
Hi! I’m Mike, and I recently joined the Digital Communications team as a web developer.
Prior to joining the team I worked at the University of Dundee from 2005 until 2023. I had a few different jobs in the IT department before finally joining the web team in 2010. For most of my time in the team I worked in a support role where I was responsible for updating content on the website, delivering training to staff in the various systems used, and managing the day to day user queries. More recently my days were spent adding functionality to the University’s Content Management System (CMS).
I’m a graduate of the University of Dundee where I Studied Mathematics and Physics and gained experience lecturing in these subjects in the various further education colleges in Dundee, Perth and Angus.
In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and have started to perform at open mics in a duo called the ‘Twa Mikes’. In the spring and summer months, I enjoy a round of golf most weekends although I’ve yet to find a golf ball that actually likes me ;-)!
