New web content editor and trainer
Hi! My name’s Josh, and I joined the Digital Communications team on Monday 16 January 2023 as a web content editor and trainer.
I’ll be responsible for ensuring that new and existing content on the University of St Andrews’ website abides by the relevant digital standards. Likewise, I’ll be training others who update the website to do so effectively.
Before this role, I completed my PhD in Classics at the University, with a thesis entitled ‘Mind, Emotion, and Responsibility: Studies in Homeric Psychology’. While a PhD student, I was a postgraduate tutor within the School of Classics, and tutored primary school children in Fife. During this time, I also had temporary roles and internships with CEED and the Principal’s Office. Most recently, I worked at the University’s Careers Centre, first as an information officer and then as a careers adviser.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading (especially history and philosophy), chess (both online and over the board), TV and film, walking, and visiting new places. I hope soon to visit Estonia and Finland, having recently enjoyed a trip to Latvia.
