Latest updates from the Digital Communications team at University of St Andrews for April 2023.
New team members
We are excited to welcome two new team members. Daniela De Leon started with us on Monday 24 April as Digital Data Analyst and Content Editor, and Lauren Sykes will join the team as Web Content Editor in July.
We are also interviewing for the role of Front End Web Developer.
Content strategy workshop
Tracy Playle, CEO of Pickle Jar Communications, travelled to St Andrews to deliver the first of a series of workshops to support Digital Communications’ development of a content strategy. For the next session, the group is creating ecosystem maps of different content production and publication processes.
Guides
We are developing a new ‘guide’ format for content on the website. The guides will enable information to be targeted at specific audiences and for the content to be found more easily via search. The guides will also facilitate the migration of content from old-style pages to a new format.
Recently we have been working on topics from paying fees to keeping pets in student accommodation. The next step is to contact subject experts to begin quality assurance. A prototype for testing should be ready in the coming weeks.
