UX myth: Mobile users are distracted

The rise of mobile has also given rise to myths about how people use it.

The idea that mobile users are more distracted than users of any other devices does not hold water. For this reason it is important not to display less content to mobile users or give them a radically different experience.

…instead of picturing mobile users as people running to catch the bus with their smartphones in their hand, we should imagine people mostly at home or work ‒ where we spend most of our time ‒ using their phones to get various things done because it’s the nearest device in reach.
